Joe Otin is the CEO of The Collective, an interactive ad agency, with a quarter of a century worth of experience in advertising, media research & content production. He is the chairman of the Advertising Standards Board of Kenya and a member of the oversight committee of KARF (Kenya Audience Research Foundation).
He presided as the chief judge of the PRSK (Public Relations Society of Kenya) Excellence Awards for 3 consecutive years, having been a judge on that panel for 11 years. He also presided as the chief judge of the MSK (Marketing Society of Kenya) gala awards in 2015. He served thrice as a judge for both of Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 Women and the Top 40 Under 40 Men.
He was granted the MSK Marketing Warrior Award in 2010, and has published several papers in local and international conferences, most recently on the subject of return-on-investment in advertising and social media marketing. He is a columnist in the Business Daily writing on topics focused on marketing.
